Commentary

Kim's speech reveals his desperate efforts to tighten control over his military by blaming the U.S. and increasing military tensions against South Korea, the U.S. and Japan. This only highlights the current level of loyalty of the North Korean military to the Kim regime.

After deciding to sell his military to Russia for money and military technology, Kim has been attempting to raise military tensions in the region to tighten his grip on the dissatisfied military personnel.

Since Kim believes at this point that this is the only way he can maintain control over his military, he will continue to use strong terms such as "completing war preparations" and bolster military tensions dramatically in the region.

However, there is a threshold in which the North Korean military can no longer tolerate Kim's tyranny and rebel against him for their own survival, a point that is rapidly approaching.

That threshold could be crossed when the news of massive deaths and casualties among the dispatched North Korean soldiers in Russia reaches their families and fellow soldiers at home.
